About us

Surrey Girlfriends is more than just a social group — it's a community where women in Surrey, BC, come together to connect, grow, and thrive.

We understand that building friendships as an adult can be challenging, especially in a busy world. That's why we created a space where women can meet, share experiences, and form meaningful connections. Whether you're new to Surrey or a long-time resident looking to expand your circle, our group offers a warm and welcoming environment for all.

Our events range from casual coffee catch-ups and game nights to workshops and networking opportunities. We believe that strong friendships and supportive communities are essential for personal well-being, and we're committed to fostering both.

At Surrey Girlfriends, we celebrate the power of women supporting women — because together, we’re stronger.

What we do

Founders

Cinthia, a project manager in the tech industry, and Selena, an early childhood educator, share a deep passion for building community. They realized how challenging it can be to make friends as adults and how essential a strong support system is throughout life. As Surrey residents, they decided to take action—what started as a small Facebook group quickly grew into Surrey Girlfriends, a thriving community of over 1,900 women. Now, they’re working to establish Surrey Girlfriends as a nonprofit, expanding their mission to create a more connected and supportive community for women in Surrey.

Board of Directors

Surrey Girlfriends is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors—Kassy, Maia, and Maria—who share the vision of fostering connection and support among women in Surrey. Their leadership and commitment are helping shape the future of the community as it grows into a nonprofit, creating even more opportunities for women to connect, support one another, and thrive.
